Skylands Testing has been in business since 2003 and currently occupies ±1,000 SF of laboratory space plus separate office and sample storage space. We have multiple sieve shakers, hydrometer cylinders, consolidation apparatuses, triaxial cells and panels, and ovens and furnaces, along with other test equipment. We have the ability to test multiple jobs simultaneously, with numerous fixed and reconfigurable work stations, and cross-trained staff.
Laboratory technicians are trained in-house to the latest ASTM and AASHTO test methods and procedures, as well as company requirements for sample tracking and post-testing retention. Test results are presented in clear, concise formats use of Geosystem Software, custom Excel spreadsheets, State DOT SO-1 forms, and other custom forms developed to meet client- or project-specific needs.
Skylands Testing has performed testing for engineers and contractors for projects from as far away as Massachusetts, Michigan, and Mississippi, but the bulk of our work is for projects in and around the NY/NJ/CT metro area, including these more notable projects:
